February 2006
California Dreaming is now a reality due to the outstanding work of Pro-life advocates in the Bay area and the agricultural depot of the world, Visalia, California. Dolores Meechan said,” The Walk For Life San Francisco is proving to be more than an event, it is a movement.” Truly Dolores and Eva Muntean have begun a pure and genuine movement in the heart of liberalism. (I am being kind) These two women have been a clear witness to all of courage, love and sincerity. Thus God has honored their work and Walk For Life San Francisco represents the true civil rights movement more so than any pro-life event I attend.

While out in the west I had the opportunity to preach both services at Shiloh Church in Oakland where Pastor David Kitely is the senior Pastor. Surely I was extremely blessed by the presence of God in that place and the worship experience. It made preaching easy! This Pastor and his congregation are a fortress for the Lord and will continue to make a difference in the area and nation.
April and Jonathan Keller of Tulare Kings Right To Life are making great progress in the diversity of their outreach. April, Jonathan and myself had an old fashion soul food supper with Rev. Charles at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Tulare. April and Jonathan became acquainted with collar greens and other soul food specialties. Earlier that morning I had the privilege of meeting a true Pastor with a heart for his people and those yet to be born. Jon Venema is the Pastor of Grace Community Church. I spoke there in the am service and he taped the service and showed it at the 11:00 am service. Not many pastors would give up their pulpit to show an Afro-American pro-life speaker. I was honored by his sincerity to have the message of life from the Afro-American perspective be communicated at his church. I was deeply impressed with their new board member Anthony Hales whose wife Jennifer, a passionate advocate for the unborn, was very instrumental in me being a participant in the pro-life events in the valley. Anthony, being Afro-American, will broaden the effectiveness of Tulare Kings leadership which all ready have made great inroads to the Black community. I was very much at home while participating in the GAP project at College of Sequoias in Tulare. The battles did rage but many of them resulted in tomorrow’s leaders seeing the lie about abortion. This GAP will be always in my heart due to the fact that a college professor came out to the display and asked me to teach her class the next period. I could not believe that she was talking to me but lo and behold there I was, Dr. Childress, teaching a class about the genocide of African Americans by the abortion industry. It was a rewarding experience. I would be amiss if I did not mention Larry M. Dodson who is the senior pastor of New Life Community Church. He is another Afro-American pastor who is committed to getting the message of genocide to his people. We had great fellowship at a local coffee shop and I am looking to hear great things form him and his congregation. I wrapped up my stay by speaking at War Cry School of Discipleship at Bethel Assembly of God church in Tulare. It was like being at “The School of The Prophets”. Pastor Tim Ainley walks in a true prophetic ministry and is raising up warriors to do the same. It was an uplifting time of revelation and impartation for myself and those present. Central Valley Christian School in Visalia was a glorious opportunity to speak to young people of the ills of abortion. The students were attentive and there was about two hundred and fifty in attendance. The last event was a radio program on KRDU 1130 In the California Valley. I was a guest on the Ken Adams Show. Wow, I didn’t realize I covered so much ground.

I have been presented with an outstanding opportunity to reach hundreds of thousands in this immediate area and millions of people nationally. The words of Mordicai, “For such a time is this,” surely can be applied here. Many of you know that the cost of radio time in the New York and Newark market is extremely high. Our adversaries and politicians, good and bad, spend millions of dollars in this market to make sure their message gets out.
The African American community has created an untapped market that virtually is ignored. Black Gospel radio is still alive and well in the metro area and available. There is a tremendous harvest here for the pro-life movement.
There must be a continued push to gain favor with the Black community on “Issues That Matter”, issues that we agree upon already, but have not come to the same table to produce change. The pulpit is the way to bring down the present self-serving leadership that has ignored the silent screams in the womb, the declining rates of marriage in the Afro-American community and the failure of our schools to educate our inner city children.
I have recently been working with Christian Fellowship Council whose vision is to acquire as many Afro-American stations as they can and produce programming that will foster pro-life and pro-family values.
Christian Fellowship Council has been quite impressed with LEARN and the success of our message of BLACK GENOCIDE. In the month of October, our website had over 800,000 hits.
They knew of our recent radio project and listened to our broadcast. Here is what they offered.
Monday & Tuesday: 15 minute program / 1:15 PM
Wednesday: 1 hour call-in talk show / 4:00 PM
Thursday Friday: 15 minute program / 1:15 PM
Sunday: 1 hour call-in talk show / 11:30 AM; 1 hour call-in talk show / 7:00 PM
This unprecedented offer more than triples my time in the metro area and gives me a format to engage the listener and air our message.
1430 WSIU is simulcast with 1230 WODI AM. WODI is another Black Gospel Station. WODI is in Fayetteville NC, So. Boston (Virginia), Virginia Beach, Brookneal (Virginia) and Fredericksburg, (Maryland).
Your help at this time will ensure our success, and it’s an opportunity to increase our influence and create a prototype for other cities. I had asked CFC to put off coming on the air till January or February. This would give me time to begin a fundraising process.
The CFC board explained that they had turned down 3 prominent ministries that wanted the times that had been set aside for me. They couldn’t hold it that long. They were making a sacrifice due to the pro-life work that LEARN does.
The price is $5,700 a month. The program will also be aired over the internet which will give me a national audience. LEARN can be the hub of the movement for pro-life work in the Black community! I will be providing links on our site so internet viewers can have easy access.
As LEARN travels about the nation we will have a point of contact and communication with the people we meet and tutor.
LEARN is the recognized Pro-life leader in the African American community. This tool will help us network and gain more disciples for the pro-life movement than ever. I humbly ask that anything you can pledge on a regular basis or one time yearly gift will be applied towards this outstanding opportunity.
You may listen to the broadcast over the internet no matter where you are.
My New Book Is Here And Available
For those of you in pro-life work this will definitely help you in your work with the Afro-American community and give you insight to God’s word concerning our leadership. Last but not least you can help the ministry by purchasing the book and getting it to your friends and the black community. You can order the book through this link and it is available on Amazon.com and Barnes and Nobel. There is a harvest.
